Unforgettable Memories Malta
Under warm sunny Mediterranean skies the students of 3AHLW and 3BHLW spent an unforgettable language week in St. Julian’s, Malta. Our mornings were spent at the ESE Language School where dynamic and interactive classes made improving our English both fun and engaging. By staying with local host families we got an authentic taste of Maltese life and hospitality and, of course, the chance to sample delicious traditional treats like savory pastizzi, sweet imqaret, and crispy kannoli.
Exploring History and Culture
Beyond the classroom our itinerary was packed with cultural discoveries. We strolled through the historic alleyways of Mdina, the famous “Silent City”, explored Birgu and Vittoriosa and relaxed in cozy cafes after a day of sightseeing.Another highlight was the boat ride to the famous “Blue Grotto” with its stunning turquoise waters and beautiful scenery. We were especially impressed by Malta’s vibrant capital Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we toured the grand St. John’s Co-Cathedral and had the opportunity to attend Notte Bianca, when the city transformed into a colourful, open-air celebration of arts and culture.
All in all our language trip was a fantastic mix of sunshine, language learning, and cultural magic that we will never forget.
